Low self-esteem is something with which some of us struggle on a daily basis. Don't think you're the only one who doubts his or her abilities sometimes. You can do anything you set your mind to. I'm serious. Language learning is not any harder than sewing or playing poker. Anyone can do it. You can learn a language even if you're in a wheelchair or if you're partially deaf. Give hypnosis a chance. There are very good hypnosis tapes out there which can help you change your outlook on life and language learning. If you want to become fluent in Chinese or Japanese, you need to build up your confidence.
You can also try self-hypnosis if you are afraid of tapes, but you really shouldn't be. Hypnosis tapes are perfectly safe unless you're epileptic. If you're in a hypnotic trance, you'll only do what you WANT to do. Hypnosis has no power over you. If you don't believe in it, you won't benefit from it. If you choose to believe in it, you can reap the rewards. Try it once. Don't forget to study your target language at the same time. If you find a hypnosis tape in your target language, buy it!
